"The Rum Diary" Premiere, Paris
Thanks to my friend Mim!E for the photo!
It could have been an almost (it was cold and raining) perfect day. IF there wouldn't have been those bloody Canadian tourists behind us! They were not even fans. Everything was really relaxed until those idiots started pushing. I bruised my knee at the barrier, my friend lost her drawings and another friend was brutally kicked in the back. Next time stay at home if you can not behave and and I really hope that one day you experience the same yourself!
But anyway... Johnny again signed one of my paintings - and my left hand.

I also gave a little present. A quick both-handed handshake and a few nice words and he was gone. It was great!
"The Tourist" premiere BerlinStanding in the cold for almost 11 hours, but it was worth every minute! He held my hand much longer than necessary, complimented me about my paintings at (very!!) great length, signed my painting - and now he owns two if my paintings. (He was pretty confused when he saw that my present for him was a little package of oil paintings. His eyes seemed to ask 'You're sure??')
His comment about this one (
[link]) - the one he signed - was "Wow! That's a beautiful painting! You are very talented! I don't deserve that!"
Now I'm back in Hamburg. It's 7:52 a.m. I got 4 hours of sleep. My adrenalin is still running high. Who needs sleep??? What's that????

Here's the autographed painting:

Here you see Johnny and a part of one of my paintings at the premiere of Public Enemies in Paris July 2nd, 2009:
